Good. The only reason why McGrory did this was to appease the transophobia in his base not for any real safety reason. It sucks for the good people in NC but they voted for this guy and the Republican legislature that wastes their time doing it so not surprisingly there’s a backlash.

THIS. I know not everyone voted for him and lots of people are probably gonna suffer because of the loss of revenue to the state, but maybe it’ll convince a sufficient number to vote against him (if he runs again). If there are people who didn’t bother to vote because they don’t think it matters, maybe this will change their minds.

I see Pence is sticking with “these decisions need to be made at the state level” line. Trouble is, I thought the more local control was, the better it was, and this law was passed to override a local decision. But, I don’t suppose anyone will care about that.

He is running again and thankfully is losing according to the polls but it’s too late for now.
